An Auction in Heart of Auckland
I have just gone to another auction today with one of my customers. The property was in Landscape Road with the auction at the actual home. There were about 30 people at the auction including around four real estate agents.
The home is fully renovated with Rimu floors and a fully fenced court yard. It has 3 full size bedrooms with 1 bathroom and two toilets. It has a small garden with a barbeque area. It has an internal garage with enough space for another two motor vehicles on the drive way. It’s a full home on a cross lease half site.
The home was staged with furniture rented form one of the firms who professional place items in the property. This is done to show the property off to prospective buyers, the full potential of the property. For the person selling the home it will hopefully attract more people to the open homes and of course more competition at the auction to buy the property.
Bidding started at $500,000.00 and went up to $685,000.00 where it did stall for around 5 minutes. As the auctioneer came back to the room, the higher bidder increased their offer to $700,000.00 and then it went onto the market. It sold for $700,000.00. There were 4 active bidders in the room. The auction started at 5.00pm and was over by 5.20.
